Nigel draws his inspiration from many areas and ages, particularly the work of the mediaeval craftsman and the romantic values of the arts and crafts movement of the late 19th and 20th century. He works entirely by hand in Sterling silver, all of the carats of gold and also platinum. Using traditional hand tools only. Most of Nigel's pieces are one-off though they may follow a particular theme. He enjoys the close relationship that can build between his clients who commission items of jewellery and himself so they can experience some of the magic of the making. He derives enormous pleasure when designing a new piece and his clients are drawn into the design process to, so they may benefit from the experience and thus gain a greater understanding of the techniques involved.
